How an SES asbestos job is set up: enclosures, decontamination units and air monitoring

SES AsbestosCommercial, industrial and residentialCompleted

A photo record from eight years of SES asbestos jobs - the enclosures, airlocks, decontamination units, negative air, signage, air monitoring and waste wrapping that go up before any asbestos is touched.

Every licensed asbestos removal SES runs is built on the same controls, whether it is a bathroom in a house, a plant room, a warehouse or an office floor: a sealed enclosure under negative pressure, HEPA filtration, a decontamination unit with an airlock and bag lock, control plan and signage at the entry, and air monitoring inside and out.

These photos come from commercial, industrial and residential jobs between 2018 and 2023. They are the parts of the job clients rarely see once the sheeting goes up - and the reason the clearance certificate at the end means something.

Project scope:
  • Sealed enclosures with negative air and HEPA filtration
  • Decontamination units, airlocks and bag locks
  • Air monitoring and differential pressure logging
  • Control plan, signage, fire and first aid at every entry
  • Waste double-wrapped, labelled and disposed of under licence
