Class A enclosure, airlock and decontamination unit in a commercial building

SES AsbestosCommercialCompleted

Poly-sheeted enclosure tunnel, three-stage decontamination unit, airlock and fire station set up inside a commercial building for friable asbestos removal.

Friable asbestos inside a commercial building called for a full Class A set-up: a sheeted enclosure running through the affected rooms, a three-stage decontamination unit at the entry, an airlock, bag lock and HEPA-filtered air inlets.

Restricted-access signage, fire station and first aid were positioned at the entry, and viewing windows let the client and assessor check progress without entering the enclosure.

Project scope:
  • Class A sealed enclosure with negative air
  • Three-stage decontamination unit and airlock
  • Bag lock, HEPA air inlets and viewing windows
  • Fire station, first aid and restricted-access signage
  • Independent clearance before dismantling
